When I saw this course being offered this semester, I was immediately intrigued on the course topics and description. I grew up in a religious, Muslim family, which I am eternally grateful for. I am excited to not only learn about my own religion, but to see other’s views and perspectives on it as well. As a Muslim, I hope to be able to bring some insight on Islam, as I grew up with it culturally as well. I hope we as a class can have effective, interesting conversations about Islam, as it is a topic I can talk about for hours on end. I think the most challenging part may be putting my personal thoughts and views, in a way that explains Islam and the way it deserves to be showcased.
